Irrigation and sand silt work at the Gordon Lewis Oval, Appin is now nearing completion. We are pleased to say that the field will be ready for use at the beginning of the football season.

The work is funded through the NSW Government's Resources to Regions grant.

UPDATES

It's great to see the work at Gordon Lewis Oval in Appin is nearing completion. The project includes the installation of silt drainage and irrigation for the improvement of the sportsground.
The new drainage proved it's worth during the recent rain event in Appin, with the sportsground draining efficiently and quickly. The field was free of water a day or two after the rain which is a fantastic improvement.
The Appin United Football Club are the users of sportsground and are pleased that the improved grounds are ready for the upcoming soccer season.
This has been funded under NSW Government Resources for Regions grant.

Irrigation work at the Gordon Lewis Sportsground is progressing well with earthwork on the drainage and irrigation trenches and the water tank now being done.
