The Wollondilly Health Alliance was originally established in 2014 to address the most important health issues in Wollondilly and develop new and innovative ways to connect services and improve health outcomes for the community. The formal alliance is underpinned by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between three key partners; South Western Sydney Primary Health Network, South Western Sydney Local Health District and Wollondilly Shire Council.
South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN)
Strong engagement with primary health care with key aims to commission services, increase efficiency and quality of healthcare, and build an integrated health system for the residents of South Western Sydney
South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD)
Large network of public hospitals and providers of main health services including chronic disease management, community health, and preventative health.
Wollondilly Shire Council (WSC)
Extensive knowledge of and advocacy for the Wollondilly community’s needs and issues, and provider of community services, facilities, healthy environments, and community development programs.
As the Shire will face significant demographic, health, and social challenges over the next few years (due to rapid population growth and infrastructure development), health priorities and projects will evolve to meet emerging needs and the alliance will continue to work collaboratively to reach our vision.
