Building inspections are available Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays) and are generally conducted between 9 am to 4 pm. Council will endeavour to accommodate requests for specific inspection times where possible, however this is subject to availability.
The inspections required for your development are detailed within your Construction Certificate/Complying Development Certificate/S68 Approval. For further information, please see pages 6-7 of the Certification Guide.
Inspections can be booked via the Customer Portal using the button below or by phoning our Customer Service Team on 4677 1100 between 8:30am-4:00pm.
All inspections must be booked in a minimum of 24 hours prior to the desired inspection date, with no further bookings taken after 4pm for the following business day.
Please note that if all required information has not been provided, including submission of necessary documentation listed below, your inspection booking may be cancelled.

Once Council has issued your Construction Certificate/Complying Development Certificate, please complete the following: -
Council’s Building Certifier will bring your ‘Principal Certifier sign’ with them to your first inspection and place the sign on site.
Please also note that prior to use of the structure, you will need to apply for an Occupation Certificate on the NSW Planning Portal.

We require Frame Specifications/Frame and Truss Layout/Bracing Layout to be submitted before booking unless cut on site.

Only licensed contractors can carry out plumbing and drainage work in New South Wales. Plumbers and drainers must be licensed with NSW Fair Trading.
Prior to commencing work, and prior to Council carrying out any of the required inspections, the licensee is required to submit their 'Notice of Work' to Council.

Upon the completion of the works, the plumber must also submit their 'Certificate of Compliance' and a 'Sewer Service Diagram'/'Works as Executed Drawing' to Council.
For consistency, Council accepts the 'Notice of Work', 'Certificate of Compliance' and 'Sewer Service Diagram'/'Works as Executed Drawing' in the same format as NSW Fair Trading.
