Hazardous Materials

Medical waste, sharp objects, syringes, shattered glass, fish tanks, mirrors, windows, deceased animals, animal waste.

Where you can dispose of these items:

Syringes can be disposed of at a variety of chemists in Wollondilly free of charge. See FAQ's at bottom of page for participating chemsists.

Shattered glass, fish tanks, mirrors and windows can be disposed of at your local waste facility.

Deceased animals, animal waste and medical waste can be disposed of at SUEZ Resource Recovery Park at Lucas Heights or Kemps Creek.

Household Goods/ Loose Items

Toys, prams, clothing, linen, crockery, boxes, bicycles, sporting equipment

*Loose items must be in boxes or bags

Building and Demolition Waste

Bricks, concrete, tiles, masonry, baths, rocks, gyprock sheets, insulation batts, items containing asbestos, or any dangerous waste e.g. Barbed wire.

Where you can dispose of these items:

Concrete, brick, tiles, masonry, baths, rocks and metal can be disposed of at your local waste facility.

Asbestos is accepted at Moss Vale Waste Management Centre and SUEZ Resource Recovery Park at Lucas Heights or Kemps Creek.

Metal Appliances/ White Goods

Stove, washers, dryers, air conditioners, toasters, hot water systems and refrigerators 

*Remove doors or locks from fridges and freezers

Chemical Waste

Paint, oil, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, batteries (vehicle & household), pesticides, herbicides, house/ pool cleaner liquids of any kind, hazardous waste and chemicals, commercial or industrial waste.

Where you can dispose of these items:

Paint, cooking oil, gas bottles, fire extinguishers, batteries (vehicle & household), pesticides, herbicides, house/pool cleaners, and other chemicals can be disposed of at Household Chemical Clean Out events or at Community Recycling Centres.

Electronics

Televisions, Computers, Kettles, Heaters, Lamps, Fans 

Heavy/ Large Items

Tyres, car parts, tree stumps or roots, large objects over 1.8m e.g. large dining tables or lounges.

Scrap Metal

Metal

Food/ General or Garden Waste

Food scraps, household kitchen waste, compost, garden clippings, tree branches.

Where you can dispose of these items:
