Every week the Mayor's calendar, is filled with people to meet and places to go. But the favourite part of his busy schedule is when he has the opportunity to visit local schools and meet the Shire’s future leaders – our kids.
The Mayor looks forward to attending school assemblies, parliamentary sittings, art exhibitions, openings, special events, read books to students, ringing the school bell, Anzac Day ceremonies, celebrating the end of a successful school year and everything in between.
And because education is a top priority for the Mayor, he is more than happy to visit schools upon invitation.
The Mayor's school visits give him an inside look into what our students are learning. The visits allow him to meet local students first-hand and listen to their stories, strengths, and aspirations.
Principals and Teachers are encouraged to send requests for Mayoral attendance at school activities by completing the online form.
School Tours are by appointment only.
