Request for Tenders - Sheehys Creek Road significant landslip remediation – Principal Contractor
Closes: Mar 18, 2025, 11:00 AM
Tender No. 2024/35
Description
Sheehys Creek Road is a Council managed road to the west of Picton and forms the boundary between Oakdale and Lakesland.
The focus site has been subject to several significant events between 2019 through to 2024. As a consequence of these events, the road condition has progressively worsened which has caused:
a) Major down slope embankment failures resulting in partial loss of the road carriageway;
b) Multiple upslope embankment destabilisations resulting in debris entering the carriageway;
c) Disruption to site drainage due to blockage and or loss of existing stormwater infrastructure;
d) Pavement and associated infrastructure e.g. signs and line marking, damage and or loss.
The extent of the damage is significant and has resulted in a total closure of the road asset. This includes the unsuitability of the asset to be used in emergency operations by the RFS.
Detailed site investigations and design have been completed for this project and Council are now wanting to progress into the construction phase of works.
Council is seeking tenders from suitable contractors in accordance NSW Local Government Regulations 2021, Cl 168.
This Expressions of Interest was the first stage of a two stage tendering process. This EOI created a shortlist of suitable Contractors based on their technical ability. Shortlisted Contractors are now invited to the second stage of tendering where financial offers will be assessed.
The proposed contract will incorporate the AS4000 General Conditions of Contract.
