The Wilton Town Centre, over the next 20 years, is expected to become the largest strategic centre within the Wilton Growth Area and the wider Wollondilly Shire.
Rezoned in 2023, it will provide a variety of employment and retail opportunities, new Kindergarten to K-12 educational facilities, a network of local open spaces, new roads, public transport infrastructure, diverse housing and social infrastructure.
The Precinct is primarily rezoned to Urban Development (UDZ) under the State Environmental Planning Policy (Precincts—Western Parkland City) 2021, with environmentally sensitive areas zoned E2 Environmental Conservation and land for State and regional Infrastructure zoned SP2.
The Wilton Town Centre will be developed in stages. By 2046, it is expected to support around 50,000m² of floor space, providing a full range of retail, business and community uses to service to Wilton and surrounding areas.
