Small Business Month Activities in Wollondilly this October
Posted on: 18.09.2023
Wollondilly Shire Council will be hosting a series of free workshops to help support and educate local businesses during NSW Small Business Month this October.
Council will be working in conjunction with local facilitator Jill Heaton from The Unleashed Collective, Alex Hawkins from Business Connect and Julie Lewis, Business Concierge from Service NSW to deliver the workshops. The events have been funded by a small grant from the State Government’s NSW Small Business Commission.
There are three free events on offer: Lunch ‘n’ Learn Business Health Check, and two Supper Sessions - Brand Strategy for Small Business and Social Media Marketing for Small Business.
Mayor Matt Gould said, “Our small businesses are the backbone of the local economy, not only providing essential goods and services but also creating jobs and contributing to the unique character of Wollondilly’s towns and villages.”
“Small Business Month is a fantastic opportunity to recognise the hard work and dedication of small business owners and their teams, who have shown incredible resilience throughout the challenges our Shire has faced in recent years.”
“I’m pleased to offer these free workshops to our business community, and encourage everyone to show their support this October by shopping and eating local.”
The workshops will include catering and will be delivered at the new WorkLife Picton coworking space in the recently refurbished Old Picton Post Office.
Numbers are strictly limited and bookings can be made at Eventbrite
