Following the confirmation from NSW Health of a new case of Covid-19 in the Bargo area, Wollondilly Council is urging locals to get tested.

Mayor Robert Khan said, “The fact that we have a Covid-19 case in Wollondilly is a good reminder to be vigilant and get tested if you have any symptoms at all.”

“If you have a cough, a sniffle, a sore throat or a fever, or even if you feel a bit unwell, please get tested.”

“We also need to remember to keep socially distanced, wear a mask where you can’t keep 1.5m away from others, and wash your hands,” he said.

A pop-up clinic for testing is open from today at Bargo Community Hall, 96 Radnor Road from 9am to 5.30pm. It is a walk-in clinic for any age and no GP referral is required.

After testing, you should remain in isolation until a negative test result is received.

The Bargo case will be included in tomorrow’s state wide numbers. Investigations into the source of local infections are ongoing and contact tracing is underway, with close contacts of the case being isolated and being tested.
