Wollondilly Children’s Services Building Officially Opened

The new Wollondilly Children’s Services Building in Picton was officially opened on Monday 14 August by Wollondilly Mayor Matt Gould.
The Hon. Angus Taylor MP, Federal Member for Hume, Judy Hannan MP, Member for Wollondilly, Deputy Mayor Matthew Deeth, Councillor Briggs, and Council staff were given a tour of the new building, with the help of some local children using the Wollondilly Preschool service.
Mayor Matt Gould said, “It was an honour to be able to officially open Wollondilly’s fantastic new Children’s Services Building on Monday.”
“The building is already being enjoyed by many of our local families, and this was a great opportunity for our funding partners to see the finished product and the kids in action.”
“We appreciate the funding by the Western Sydney City Deal and Start Strong Funding - NSW Department of Education to make this project possible.”
The $5m Wollondilly Children's Services Building project is co-funded by Wollondilly Shire Council under the Western Parkland City Liveability Program which is part of the Western Sydney City Deal (WSCD).
The Western Sydney City Deal is a partnership between the Australian and NSW Governments and the eight Councils of the Western Parkland City. The new, state-of-the-art building houses four services including:
- Wollondilly Preschool
- Family Day Care
- School Holiday Care
- Before & After School Care
The Children’s Services Building is part of the Wollondilly Cultural Precinct.
