On 1 August, we officially opened the Old Menangle School Site. It was a lovely neighbourhood event with plenty of kids having fun. Former Menangle School students also came along to see the newly refurbished school building.  

The Old Menangle School is progressing well with the following work in progress:

• External cladding to new extension to building completed with the exception of flashings / capping to parapet wall.
• Plumbing rough-in to amenities building and extension in progress.
• Brick Pavement in progress.
• Soft fall pavement completed.
• Brickwork to amenities building completed.
• Brickwork to building ramp and planter box in progress.

Here are the latest updates at the Old Menangle School Site.

• Brickwork to amenities building nearing completion 
• Construction of swale drainage in progress 
• Skylights to new kitchen installed 
• Lighting to school building installed 
• Services rough-in to new extension commenced on site 
• Painting of school building  completed. Some minor touch up required.
• Old sandstone stepping stones exposed.
• Soft fall install complete.

• Brickwork to amenities building has recommenced on site following installation of steel posts and delivery of bricks.
• Blinding slab to the BBQ / Picnic Tables and area between school building and spine area completed.
• Wall frames and roof to school extension completed.

• Preparation of soft fall surrounding equipment in progress.

Old Menangle School project is progressing well and the whole site is really taking shape. See the latest update:

• Concrete slab for new extension of school building have been prepared for concrete pour. 
• Internal fitout of school building in progress i.e. skirtings, timber cornice, window & door architraves etc.
• Repairs to cracks to existing brickwork in school building completed.
• Structural steel post installed to amenities building. Brickwork has now recommenced.
• All piers to spine area completed.
• Potting bench brickwork complete and bench has been formed up and steel reinforcement completed.
• Surplus spoil has been removed from site.

Work is progressing well on site with some short delays due to the wet weather.

• In ground services nearly complete.
• Brickwork to amenities building will continue when steel posts arrive.
• Circular seats have been poured.
• Pavement around Multi-Purpose Court / circular seats prepared for concrete.
• Installation of piers to Weathersheld Shelter / Kitchen & Community Garden in progress.
• New floor boards to decks and school building completed.
• Footings to new extension to school building completed. 
• New brick stairs to school building completed.
• Construction of picnic tables in progress.

Work is progressing well on the Old Menangle School site with the upgrade of the building now underway.  The pathways are being installed and the carpark, kerbs and gutters are in place.
