Emergency management is a legislative requirement for Local Government; as a result, the Local Emergency Management Committee was established to overview, plan and test the local community emergency management arrangements in Wollondilly.
The Committee is responsible for the preparation of plans in relation to the prevention, preparation, response and recovery for emergencies in the Wollondilly Local Government Area. Additionally, the Local Emergency Management Committee facilitates training and exercises for emergency management.
