The Stonequarry Creek Bush Tucker Garden is a stunning site that runs alongside the Picton Botanic Gardens behind the Hume Oval.
The site is a focus location for Wollondilly Shire Council's Bushcare Program and Council have worked with community and corporate volunteer groups to restore the river flat forest that used to occur on the site pre-settlement.
Through Bushcare activity days, groups remove invasive species and replace them with native trees and shrubs that will help the site become more resilient to high rainfall events, stabilise creek banks and enhance habitat for local birds, insects and other fauna.
