Smart Shire Summit

Posted on: 17.05.2017

The Australian Government recently announced a $50 million Smart Cities and Suburbs Program to accelerate digital transformation across Australia. As a result Wollondilly Shire Council is working towards developing a Smart Shire Strategy.

We want to hear from the community about what digital initiatives they value and what initiatives they would like to see in Wollondilly in the future.

Council recently launched an online survey that the community can complete to give feedback, but we are also asking any community members interested to register to participate in our Smart Shire Summit on the 25th May 2017. The aim of the summit is to bring together any interested parties to have a robust discussion about digital initiatives in Wollondilly. You can find out more information about the Summit and register at www.engage.wollondilly.nsw.gov.au

Alternatively, if you can’t attend the Summit in person, we will be live streaming it so you can watch it from the comfort of your own home and provide input in real time.

Mayor Judith Hannan said: “Wollondilly Shire Council is always been keen to try new and innovative approaches to engagement and provide opportunities for everyone to be involved. We are hoping the community gets involved in the Smart Shire Summit, whether it is in person or by watching the live stream and submitting feedback online. We can’t wait to hear what ideas the community has to help inform our Smart Shire Strategy.”

We want everyone’s help to become a Smart Shire!

Council is taking feedback until the 2nd of June 2017.
