Local school students scatter snowflakes around Picton main street

The Picton business community invites all to come and experience a special Christmas late night Shopping Event being held in Picton on Wednesday 14th December from 6 -9pm.

In preparation for this Christmas event schools have enthusiastically embraced the idea of supporting the Picton business community as it recovers from the June Storm event and by placing snowflake decorations in the shop windows on the main street of Picton.

Local business owners, in conjunction with Wollondilly Shire Council and Picton Chamber of Commerce, have invited preschools, primary and high schools throughout Wollondilly to decorate snowflakes that will be displayed in the shopfront windows of the local businesses of Picton. Contributing to the Revitalise Picton project, the student’s snowflakes have added to the Christmas cheer and encourage their families and friends to visit the shops to see the snowflake they have created.

Mayor for Wollondilly, Judith Hannan, will be present on Wednesday 14th December from 6 -9pm to judge the best class entries and the successful schools will be publicised in the winning windows on the night.

We look forward to seeing Parents, Students, the community and Christmas shoppers to join us on the night to share in the festivities, support local and small business and check out the great snowflake window designs.
